About Christine Losq
Christine fell in love with elementary mathematics in 1984, while working as
a project editor with a major textbook publisher. In 1988, she turned to the
classroom to better understand learning theory in practice. Working her way up
from Grade 6 to Kindergarten, Christine has turned classroom-based experiences
into resources to share with teachers. She has authored numerous
classroom-based resources that provide professional development combined with
ready-to-use, in-class materials to address the toughest math topics.
Christine focuses on the needs of intervention and at-risk students. She understands the essential relationship between
oral and auditory literacy and math achievement. In both her authored materials
and in her professional development workshops, she highlights the essential
role of language acquisition in improving math achievement.
A popular presenter and teacher trainer, Christine addresses head-on the
complex challenges of improving math achievement for our most challenged students.
"My staff has never been SO enthusiastic about a trainer. They all say
Christine is the best presenter they have ever worked with!"
Math Coordinator,
District 3, Los Angeles Unified School District
"I never realized how powerful literacy skills are, even when I'm teaching math. Thanks for a great training!" Summer school teacher, Livingston, CA
Christine is a prolific author of both core program materials and
supplemental resources.

paper-and-pencil learning. To make sure that teachers have a ready-to-use
alternative to worksheets, Christine developed KidsKits, Each kit presents 12-24 games and activities, ready-to-use in centers or whole-class instruction. Every easy-to-teach activity is standards-aligned. Each game or activity provides BOTH conceptual development and practice.
» KidsKits are a great alternative to practice worksheets.
Standards-aligned games are concept builders that leave no child behind: ready-to-use way to remediate, practice, extend, and differentiate instruction in your classroom. Address the toughest topics at your grade level with standards-aligned games and activities. Each kit includes all the materials you need to set up an instant center.
